The Journal of Pakistan Psychiatric Society (JPPS) is the official publication of the Pakistan Psychiatric Society (PPS), the pioneer representative body of psychiatrists in Pakistan.

Aim: This journal is dedicated to encouraging and facilitating research at all levels and in all fields of Psychiatry and Mental Health.

Scope: We are devoted to reporting original investigations in the biomedical and health sciences relevant to mental health, including research in the basic sciences; clinical trials of therapeutic agents; effectiveness of diagnostic or therapeutic techniques; or studies relating to the behavioral, epidemiological, or educational aspects of Psychiatry.

JPPS is the only open-access, peer-reviewed, and quarterly published journal in the field of Psychiatry in Pakistan, with distribution amongst members of PPS both locally and globally. JPPS holds a strong position as the trailblazer in the Mental Healthcare and wellbeing sector of Pakistan, and is a prestigious medium owing to its credibility, acceptability and reach.

Archiving
JPPS is managed by Open Journal Systems which supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure a secure and permanent archive for journal content.

Advertisement
The ads accepted shall be purposeful, i.e., have some slogan related to the promotion of mental health, and may be contributed via multi-sector corporate stakeholders. 
The advertisements shall be approved by the Publishing Coordinator, be independent from the published content and not related to the Editorial, Original Papers, Special Articles, etc.

JPPS ensures ethically sound marketing at conferences organised by the Pakistan Psychiatric Society to promote updated, useful research and publication.
